By using In-cab Clients (ICCs), which are durable tablets mounted in light and heavy-duty vehicles, the system ensures real-time situational awareness for staffed vehicles. ICCs continuously monitor the location of each vehicle and transmit critical data to facilitate safe interactions between staffed and autonomous equipment. This continuous flow of information helps prevent collisions, enables coordinated movement, and optimizes overall productivity.
The semi-autonomous features of LinkOA further improve operational efficiency and safety. The system establishes Guarded Zones, creating virtual boundaries that prevent autonomous vehicles from entering hazardous or restricted areas. It also offers Guided Navigation, which automates vehicle steering along predefined paths, streamlining movement and minimizing the risk of human error. Additionally, the Auto-tramming function allows vehicles to autonomously navigate to designated points, optimizing routing and reducing the need for constant driver input.
